In the flash stamp the text plate and the ink pad are integrated… the ink pad is the text plate. In the flash stamp the bottom of the ink pad is sealed with a very thin layer of plastic. When the flash stamp is compressed the ink runs through thousands of very tine holes in the sealed plastic layer and this makes the impression. Perhaps hard to understand – but the flash stamp definitely makes the best quality impression of all the different types of rubber stamps on the market today.
Besides the good quality impressions that the inking self stamp make they have two more very attractive features. When the ink pad has dried out it is easily replaced which increases the life time of the stamp. Even more importantly if the text plate becomes obsolete it is easy replaced – except on the flash stamp. If the stamp is made of metal or plastic it is very easy to remove the obsolete text and replace it with a new text plate.
